🐱 Cat or Ghost? 👻

It's always Halloween in my world. This cat thinks they're spooky, but they are not. We all know they're hiding under a bedsheet, but we can't tell them because that would ruin their fun! 

My Inspiration 🌷:

This painting is based on a popular cat meme depicting a cat covered in a white sheet, looking particularly mischievous. I have an orange cat myself, who is frequently mischievous (as the orange ones always are lol). When I first got her, I wanted to call her Pumpkin but then felt like that was a very common name for orange cats so her name ended up being Millie! She is now 1 year old, and is my entire world. She is my muse for many of my artworks, and this one is no exception. 🐈

🎨 My Process:

• Started off by sketching out the layout with a pink pencil
• Colored in the sketched out areas with a cool grey alcohol marker (my base color)
• Laid down orange for the cat's body and added shading and stripes
• Added highlights to the sheet (pink and purple)
• Added the cat's nose and eyes with Micron 01 (black)
• Gave it all an outline with Micron 01, and a deep purple alcohol marker
• Added some sparkles for dramatic effect and...
• BOO! 👻
